Happiness in about…. 4 seconds!
Mon Oct 15 2007
Don't you love the way a 2 year old child can change from tears to laughter so quickly- generally it takes about .....4 seconds! Wouldn't it be good to change from sad to happy that fast too!
There is a beautiful saying in Chinese Medicine- "When the Qi is Strong the Emotions Arise and Disperse Spontaneously." To let it all flow through and not even touch the sides- that's the trick.
We as humans are emotional beings and just about everything we do can be traced back to our desire for our true state- Happiness. Health and
Happiness that's what everyone wants.
But life does not give us an iron-tight guarantee that everything will be plain sailing- emotions, hormones, brain chemistry and other factors all come into play and it is not fun to be stuck in stressful or negative emotional mind states.
Ultimately it is good to come back to or happiness in about 4 seconds rather than 25 years! Sometimes we need a little help.
When the Qi is strong and flowing freely the boat can right itself and sail along much more easily than when it is weak and congested.
I have found that Acupuncture and Bodywork are quite powerful in correcting internal imbalances and negative emotions and bringing these back into alignment. So if you feel you are at the moment 'established' in one particular emotion- Stress, anxiety, fear, etc perhaps it is time to do yourself a favour and try this Ancient-Modern therapy today.
