Note From Jo - The Miracle
Thu Sep 24 2009
In our quest for better health and wellbeing we often seek a 'quick fix' or want results almost immediately. It is important to acknowledge that our bodies are put through great amounts of stress with our fast-paced busy lifestyles, and our dietary choices. The social habits of drinking alcohol, having coffee and cake with friends, eating fast food and dining out all have their consequences. As long as there is balance these things, in moderation, are ok. However, to regain balance and eliminate the build up of toxins and disease we have to 'undo' all the damage. This takes time.
We are always seeking the fast miracle and become disheartened when switching from one diet fad to the next with little or no result, and sometimes an increase in problems. The miracle is actually achieved with an approach similar to the butterfly effect – small changes made consistently over a period of time to produce a dramatic result. No single diet will suit everybody. It is necessary to have a tailored program for your individual constitution and stick to it. The key is to maintain motivation by becoming in tune with your body so you recognise the small improvements as you head towards your ultimate goal. Be consistent, be patient and the Butterfly will emerge!
